Louisiana's Session is Underway
We're in week three of Louisiana's 2024 Regular Legislative Session. We are asking lawmakers to build a Nation of Lifesavers by increasing the number of people ready to perform CPR in an emergency through the following policy efforts.

Gov. DeSantis signs youth athletics safety bill
We are thrilled that Governor DeSantis approved House Bill 865 on Friday, March 22 to enhance the safety of young athletes across the state. Beginning July 1, 2024, athletic coaches in public schools will receive ongoing CPR and AED training.
Arizona Session Continues and Heart Walkers Take Over Phoenix
In March, both the House and Senate wrapped up their final committee hearings. Any bills that have not been discussed in a committee at this point in the legislative session are effectively considered dead. Now, the focus shifts to voting on bills. Once approved, these bills will be sent to the Governor’s office for either signing or vetoing. As the voting process concludes, lawmakers remain deeply engaged in budget discussions.

California Session Heating Up
Things are starting to heat up in California as bills begin to be scheduled for hearings. Within the first couple weeks in April, our sponsored bills will be deliberated in their respective policy committees. Our work on the state budget also continues. With the threat to decrease funding for School Meals for All as well as the elimination of the Market Match program, we are busy!
