We are excited to hold our annual Heart Day on the Hill on February 21 during American Heart Month. We need you to join us to make the day a success! Come meet other advocates from across the state and help us promote public policy initiatives aimed at fighting heart disease and stroke.

Our day will begin with a breakfast and welcome by Sen. Bill Ketron (R-Murfreesboro), who has championed many of our initiatives. After a brief training and discussion of issues, you will have an opportunity to speak directly with members of the House and Senate! Together, we will urge lawmakers to:

  • Permit local communities to pass smoke-free laws;
  • Ensure elementary students receive at least 60 minutes of physical education each week; and
  • Improve care for patients experiencing a stroke or STEMI heart attack once 911 is called.

Following legislative meetings and a tour of the newly renovated Cordell Hull Building, which now houses all legislative offices and hearing rooms, we will regroup for lunch and enjoy time with our guest speaker, Lt. Gov. Randy McNally (R-Oak Ridge).

Please plan to join us on February 21st to make your voice heard! Invite family and friends to attend as well! There is no cost to attend, but advance registration is requested!
