You’re the Cure advocates came together last week to raise awareness around World Stroke Day in the capital city.
Local advocates met on Monday, October 27th with the Austin Grassroots Action Team (GAT) convening for their initial meeting in advance of the 2015 Legislative Session. Volunteers met to discuss the 2015 legislative agenda and the group provided insight into further partnerships and recruitment opportunities. They also discussed upcoming World Stroke Day events and planned for future GAT meetings. GAT Chair Pkaye Washington led the meeting and provided great leadership on scheduling future meetings.
