Wyoming: Legislative Session Recap

The legislative session in Wyoming moved fast and furiously this year with a 20 day budget-only session that wrapped up this month.  The American Heart Association was hard at work on a budget amendment which would allocate funds to the Department of Education to set up a grant program so schools could implement CPR trainings as a part of the curriculum.  While this CPR funding ultimately did not pass, the department is required to report to multiple joint legislative committees throughout the interim on CPR in schools and next year we will work to get the funding into place so schools can begin to teach this lifesaving skill.

We'll need your help to continue to urge lawmakers to support CPR in Schools.  You can pledge your support today at www.BeCPRSmart.org today and encourage friends and family in Wyoming to join you by sharing the link on Facebook or Twitter.
