World Salt Awareness Week!


Did you know that this week, the week of February 4th, is World Salt Awareness Week?

In an effort to help people reduce the amount of salt they intake the American Heart Association has come up with the “Salty Six”. This is a list of common foods that may be loaded with excess sodium. Eating too many salty foods can create all sorts of health problems; including high blood pressure, increased risk for heart disease and stroke. 

Please take the time to visit the “Salty Six” webpage and as you gear up for your next grocery store run or order from the menu, keep the Salty Six in mind.
