Now that you have completed your registration for the day, we want to give you the information you’ll need to have for a successful lobby day.
Below, you will find the tentative agenda.

Agenda Day One
Monday, March 13th, 2017 Location: Holiday Inn RDU
Registration Opens 2:30 pm
Welcome 3:00 pm

Advocacy Training 3:30 pm
- A Closer Look at the Issues 3:30 pm
- Healthy Food Small Retailer Fund
- Physical Education in Schools
- Hypertension Awareness
- Break 4:30 pm
- Advocacy Skill Building 4:45 pm
Dinner & Social 6:45 pm
[NC Advocacy Coordinating Committee will gather at 7:30 pm for a quick meeting.]

Tuesday, March 14, 2017
Location: Hotel & State Legislature*
Breakfast Briefing and Last Minute Instructions at hotel 8:00 am
Travel to Legislative Complex via chartered bus 8:30 am
Gather at 1200 Court, Legislative Bldg. 9:15 am

Legislative Meetings 9:30 am
Lunch at General Assembly Cafeteria 11:30 am
Return to AHA Office via chartered bus 3:00 pm
Travel home 3:30 pm

Monday
- Dinner is provided following the advocacy training session.
Tuesday
- Light continental breakfast will be available before you get on the bus.
- Lunch will be available at the NC General Assembly Cafeteria
Travel to the Legislature
We have arranged bus travel that will leave the hotel promptly at 8:30 am Tuesday morning. If you choose to drive, there are parking lots near the Legislative complex.

What to Wear
Monday: Business Casual
Tuesday: Business attire and please wear red! Please dress for the weather and bring comfortable shoes. Remember an umbrella if rain is predicted.
Legislative Meetings
We will do our best to arrange a meeting time with your lawmakers. You will attend meetings as part of a group and will meet with lawmakers and/or staff throughout the day. Our goal is to visit all 170 legislative offices, so you will be asked to do a few drop-in visits as well.
