If you haven't met Ian yet, we'd like to introduce you:
I am Ian Allen and I am excited to join the government relations team in New Jersey. Prior to joining the American Heart Association in March, I served as the Supervisor of Bills in the New Jersey Senate. Additionally, I worked under the Senate Majority Leader, Loretta Weinberg, as a Legislative Aide. Prior to my work with the New Jersey Senate, I was a Constituent Advocate for United States Senator Frank R. Lautenberg. I was born and raised in New Jersey and graduated from Hofstra university with a degree in political science.
I am thrilled to work for an organization that has the mission of building healthier lives free of cardiovascular disease and stroke. I am in awe of the accomplishments of the American Heart Association and am eager to continue the legacy of this phenomenal organization. Heart disease and stroke has personally affected my family and loved ones and they serve as my daily reminder for why we must continue to advocate. I firmly believe the work we accomplish together will improve the health of New Jerseyans and I am excited to work with all of you on our mission.
I am proud to serve as a Government Relations Director for the American Heart Association in New Jersey. If you need to reach me, please do not hesitate to contact me at Ian.Allen@heart.org.
