Wear Red Day at the Missouri Capitol Recap!

Volunteers, staff, & legislators wore red at the Missouri State Capitol during American Heart Month to raise awareness for heart disease & stroke.

A group picture was taken on the grand staircase and resolutions were introduced on both the House & Senate floor. Attendees also dropped off "thank you" cards to their legislators for their support of our CPR in Schools bill that passed last year.

In addition, attendees advocated for a smoke-free Capitol building, as smoking is still allowed in the lawmaker's offices. With that said the Democrats already support a smoke-free Capitol building and have a no-smoking policy in place for their offices.  Republicans DO NOT have a smoke-free policy in place.

Thank you to everyone who was able to attend. Click on this link to check out pictures of Wear Red Day at the Missouri Capitol!
