Hello! My name is Liz Albers and I am thrilled to be the new State Government Relations Director for Montana and North Dakota. I am excited to get to work on important issues like health equity and increasing access to care.
Prior to joining the American Heart Association, I worked on political campaigns at all levels from municipal to Senate campaigns. In 2019, I worked in the Montana Legislature as a Legislative Aide, where I fell in love with the legislative process and the work that goes into getting policies passed. Most recently, I was the Executive Director of the Montana Public Interest Research Group (MontPIRG) where I got to work with young people to teach them what I know about politics and the legislative process.
I’m originally from the Boston area and got my Juris Doctorate from the University of Maine School of Law. I’m excited to use my background and education to further the American Heart Association's mission and advocate for smoke free air, access to quality healthcare and better systems of care. I look forward to connecting and working with you on all AHA’s campaigns!
