Walk, Talk, Burn Calories!

 

As cold, winter weather becomes reality in the upper Midwest, exercise and being physically active becomes more difficult for Nebraskans.  Recently, Live Well Nebraska posted an article by blogger Laura Jane outlining the significant health benefits of walking.   According to Jane, “If sitting and our tendency toward physical inactivity really is the new smoking, then the good news is there is a powerful , easy-to-administer and entirely free antidote:  walking."  Jane also states that walking has the lowest dropout rate of just about any physical activity and suggests it’s time we all commit to walking more!
