During You’re The Cure on the Hill, advocates discussed the following issues with their Congressional delegations in an effort to help lift the burden of cardiovascular disease by:

  • Increasing National Institutes of Health (NIH) medical research funding.
  • Improving access to telestroke care by supporting the Furthering Access to Stroke Telemedicine (FAST) Act.
  • Increasing access to cardiac rehabilitation services.

Volunteers also took this extraordinary opportunity to visit with members of the US Senate about the American Health Care Act.

The AHA You're the Cure on the Hill event takes place every two years in Washington, D.C.  If you are interested in attending a future event, please contact [email protected]
