Mayor Keller Signs Complete Streets Ordinance into Law

Thanks to advocates like you, we were able to successfully advocate for safer streets in our community! The Albuquerque City Council passed a comprehensive complete streets ordinance which will make our streets safer and improve community health by making it easier and safer for people to be physically active while going around town.

Complete streets improvements, including sidewalks, bike lanes, and safe street crossings, provide more opportunities to be physically active. Engaging in daily physical activity reduces the risk of heart disease, stroke, hypertension, diabetes, and some types of cancer.

We couldn't have done this without you! Thank you for sending emails and advocating for a healthier Albuquerque. Now's a great time to show our gratitude to our local elected officials for ensuring a safer community!
