They’re thanking legislators for supporting House Bill 123 by Rep. Ramsey and Senate Bill 558 by Sen. Ketron to establish a statewide stroke registry, in an effort to improve our stroke system of care. Governor Haslam recently signed the legislation into law!
They're also asking legislators to support the following issues:
- Giving Local Governments the Ability to Go Smoke-Free – House Bill 122 sponsored by Rep. Ramsey and Senate Bill 303 sponsored by Sen. Ketron seek to repeal tobacco preemption, and allow local governments to regulate tobacco policy. To read the bills, click here.
- Increasing Quality Physical Education in Schools – House Bill 372 sponsored by Rep. Kane. Senate Bill 558 sponsored by Sen. Ketron seek to increase the number of minutes that students are offered physical education in schools across Tennessee. To read the bills, click here.
