The 2023 Arizona Legislative Session is Complete

As of July 31, at 5:15 PM, the Arizona Legislature has adjourned sine die, effectively concluding its legislative session for the year. What does this mean? It means that no other legislation can be passed until the next legislative session (which starts on January 8, 2024), and any bill signed into law will be effective in 90 days (October 30, 2023). Bills that were signed into law that had an emergency clause went into effect on the day the Governor signed the bill. The adjournment of the current session provides us with an opportunity to review our previous efforts and identify how we can continue to make an impact in Arizona. We are already hard at work, diligently planning and strategizing for our next legislative agenda and continuing work at the local level and we will be in touch once our agenda is set.
