That's a Wrap on 2024 AZ Session

On Saturday, June 15 at 9:55 PM, the 56th Arizona Legislature adjourned its session, officially closing legislative business for the year. The 57th Arizona Legislature, First Regular Session, will reconvene on Monday, January 13, 2025, with returning and new legislators.

As a reminder, the Arizona Legislature convenes every year on the second Monday in January. Looking ahead to our 2025 legislative agenda, we will continue our work on establishing cardiac emergency response plans in schools and implementing a statewide tobacco retail license without local preemption. Meanwhile, we are actively building our FY25 state advocacy committee and exploring the potential of launching a tobacco retail license campaign in Mesa, AZ. While we remain cautiously optimistic about this campaign in Mesa, it is crunch time, as a new Mayor and Councilmembers will be established starting January 1, 2025.
