GUEST BLOG: From My Heart - Sweethearts at the Cap!
Hello everyone!! This past month has been packed with senior activities at my school (lots of student council activities, homecoming preparation, and of course, homework and studying). Thankfully, I’ve also found a little time within all that to volunteer outside of school. We can all carve out a little time in our day or week to be an advocate for the people and causes we care so much about.

GUEST BLOG: From My Heart - Meme & Me
I’m back!! This month, I wanted to focus on a topic that is near to my heart because it also affects my family. My grandmother, or as I like to call her “Meme”, has Alzheimer’s disease. This disease has no cure, but research shows that the risk of Alzheimer's disease can be greatly reduced by keeping your heart and brain healthy. So, let's talk more about that!

GUEST BLOG: From My Heart - It's My Senior Year!
Summer has officially ended and it is back to school time for many of us. Starting back to school can be very stressful, especially for me because it is my senior year of high school!!! I don’t know if I should feel excited or nervous because not only does school come with so many great things like seeing all my friends, opportunities to learn more, and the chance to cheer our team onto victory at Friday night football games.

GUEST BLOG: From My Heart - Vitamin Sea & My Fam
Hello from PARADISE! Well, Anguilla to be exact. It is a British overseas territory in the Caribbean. It is one of the most northerly of the Leeward Islands lying east of Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands and directly north of Saint Martin. It's gorgeous! It was past time for our family to take a heart-healthy vacation after a crazy year. How many people believe vacation to be an excuse to kick back, eat what you want to eat and be decadently lazy? Well, my vacation is a little bit of that but we are also finding creative ways to stay healthy and keep moving on vacation.

Lyndsey Albright Saves her Boyfriend’s Life with Telephone CPR
On Sept. 3, 2016, after a night of visiting friends, Mike Miller and his girlfriend of 11 years returned to the home they had moved into four days earlier. Just after 11 p.m., the two sat down on their couch, and that’s when Miller began acting strange. First, he told his girlfriend, Lyndsey Albright, that he felt tired. Then he took off his glasses and began crushing them in his hand. Believing he was having a seizure, Albright called 911. At that point he was no longer breathing, and she was instructed to begin CPR.
GUEST BLOG: From My Heart - At Any Age, You Can Make a Difference
In the last month, I have experienced so much joy from my involvement with the American Heart Association. The Central Arkansas Heart walk on May 28th was filled to the brim with fun! On that beautiful Saturday morning, I was privileged to walk with Team Adycakes and support my Diamond State Princess that will walk with me on the Miss Arkansas' Outstanding Teen stage this summer, Adyson Coleman, take over the You're The Cure twitter account, sign the heart wall in memory of my Pap, and catch up with lots of friends who came out to show their support for heart disease and stroke awareness.
