Legislation S.70 has been introduced in the Vermont Senate by Sen. Kevin Mullin of Rutland.  An identical bill, H.264, has been introduced in the House by Rep. Joey Donovan.

Eighteen Vermont organizations have signed on in support of our healthy kids meals effort, including the Vermont Association of Hospitals, the Vermont Public Health Association, and Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility.

A survey conducted by UVM Medical students also found great support by Vermont parents. In fact, 95% of parents surveyed said they were willing to pay more for a healthy kids’ meal!

And hundreds of attendees of the Go Red for Women Luncheon and elsewhere have signed our postcard to legislators in support of the legislation. You can too!
