Stroke won't wait. Neither should we!

A stroke can happen to anyone, at any time and anywhere. Today 1 in 4 people suffer from a stroke, a leading cause of disability and death. With Stroke Month coming to an end, we need your help to move critical legislation that would ensure when someone suffers a stroke, they are getting to the most appropriate place to take care of them as quickly as possible.

Right now, that is not happening. Anyone suffering a stroke in the Commonwealth is going to the closest hospital, which may not have the best resources in place to respond to a stroke.

We are working to prevent stroke and improve the quality of care stroke patients receive by supporting the development and implementation of a stroke system that would designate tiered levels of care and establish transport protocols for EMS professionals. The development of a stroke system of care can significantly increase the number of patients who receive improved stroke care.

Will you help improve stroke care by answering a few short questions that will automatically create a personalized letter urging lawmakers to support a stroke system of care for the Commonwealth?

We appreciate your continued support of this critical issue.

With heart,

Allyson and Rebecca
