Last year, the American Stroke Association began advocating to make improvements to stroke care in NJ and our efforts are really starting to take off!

On February 27, the Senate Budget Committee voted to approve the bill. This is the final hurdle before the entire Senate votes, which is expected in a few weeks. The Assembly will likely take action later this spring.

The bill would ensure that NJ’s stroke centers are meeting the most stringent stroke care standards and that NJ patients are receiving high quality treatment to improve their chances of resuming their lives with limited problems after suffering a stroke.

A number of You’re the Cure advocates have taken action to make their voices heard and move this forward. We thank them for their efforts and invite you to join in the fight for better stroke care!
