We are asking Congress to the Step Up to the Plate! On May 11 and 12, hundreds of advocates from across the country will be in Washington, DC for You’re the Cure on the Hill 2015. In addition to asking our legislators to support healthy school meals, volunteers will also urge our elected leaders to make heart and stroke research a national priority.
National Institute of Health (NIH) stroke research saves lives. Each discovery has extended and improved the lives of hundreds of thousands of people who suffer a stroke each year. Because of medical research, stroke survivors have celebrated more birthdays, graduations and weddings than ever. In fact, the death rate from stroke has dropped 70 percent, largely due to research institutions like NIH.
This is why our legislators must make NIH stroke research a national priority.
On May 11 and 12, please join our volunteers from your own home and urge Congress to Step Up to the Plate for more stroke research today! Get involved today!
