More about Claire:

Employer/position:   United Way of Santa Fe County/New Mexico Early Childhood Development Partnership – Executive Vice President of Policy & Stakeholder Engagement

Hometown:  Albuquerque, NM

Favorite movie:  I love romantic comedies

Hobbies:  Cooking, reading, taking walks, and traveling (in New Mexico and beyond)

Pets (ages and names):  Cat - Mia who runs our house and is 12 years old

Family (names):  Husband - Michael

Two celebrities or historical figures you would want to have dinner with (living or not) and why?  Susan B. Anthony and Hillary Clinton – I have long admired them both for their unyielding commitment and tenacity.

Favorite AHA event and why?  Heart Walk – So great to see so many folks out walking and supporting the AHA!

Why is advocating for the AHA important to you?  Heart health is the upmost importance to me.  I have a family history of heart disease.  There are so many relatively easy things that we can all do to take care of ourselves and our health.

What would you say to encourage others to become an advocate for the AHA?  Just do it!  Find a way to become involved in whatever way works best for you!

Thank you for leading our State Advocacy Committee over the past few years, Claire! We appreciate all of your hard work.

You'll be missed,

- AHA Advocacy Team
