On Tuesday April 11th, The Arlington City Council had a first reading and vote on the Smoke-Free ordinance. We're happy to report that they voted 6-3 in favor of adopting this ordinance and protecting their workers!

While we are thankful for the leadership of the City Council and this outcome, the fight is not over yet.

The City Council will have a second and final vote on April 25th and we need to keep showing support for a smoke-free city. Over 70 cities in Texas have gone smoke-free and it's time for Arlington to be next.

HERE'S HOW YOU CAN HELP THE EFFORT

IF YOU'RE FROM THE ARLINGTON AREA:

- Join us at City Hall on April 25th for the second and final vote! We'll need as many people there as possible to show support! RSVP here!

- Take one minute and send an email to the City Council urging them to supporting Smoke-Free Arlington

IF YOU DON'T CALL ARLINGTON 'HOME':

- Share your story! We, and lawmakers around Texas, want to hear why you support a smoke-free city and state! Tell us your story by clicking here!

Thanks for your support!
