Sonny was overweight and was suffering from undiagnosed diabetes when he had a heart attack at age 38. Even after two stents were inserted, his heart went into an irregular rhythm and he needed to be shocked six times in order to survive. That event spurred Sonny to make lifestyle changes that have helped him lose more than 160 lbs.
Sonny changed everything about his eating habits, incorporating lots of fruits and vegetables while eliminating fast foods. He also began exercising and now works out at least 90 minutes per day, six days per week.
