Michelle Johnston, Vermont

I'm alive because my husband knew CPR. Shelburne resident, and cardiac arrest survivor Michelle Johnston suffered sudden cardiac arrest in October 2009 and was saved by her husband.  But that is not the end of her story. As an advocate in Vermont Michelle worked tirelessly to get legislation passed that would have all students learn CPR before they graduate high school. “I get chills thinking about how many more lives might be saved because so many students will know CPR.”  The power of advocacy!
