Amy Wolfe Massachusetts

Amy Wolfe is a stay at home mother of 3 wonderful children; Allison, Andrew, and Ryan. Her oldest child, Allison, was born in 1999 with a very severe form of heart disease called Tetralogy of Fallot. In addition to her diagnosis of TOF, she was also found to have a snaking aorta which wraps around her airway. Since 1999 she has endured three open heart surgeries and an angioplasty at Boston Children's Hospital. In the countless meetings with the school, the family found also that there are no automatic external defibrillators, they tried to work with the school to ensure that they would have training and an AED, the school refused, they decided to take Allie out of public school and put her in a private school who raised the money and put in an AED, "in a heartbeat". Amy is a strong and vocal advocate for placement of AED’s in schools.
