Shaping the Future Together: The You’re the Cure Survey Results are In!

We want to extend our deepest gratitude to each one of you who participated in our recent survey. Your feedback is invaluable to us and helps shape our focus and strategies.

Our top three issue areas, as identified by you, are:

  1. CPR and Access to AEDs: We understand the importance of immediate response in emergency situations, and we are committed to advocating for increased access to CPR training and AEDs.
  2. Healthy School Meals for All: Nutrition is a key factor in student performance and overall health. We will continue to push for healthier, more nutritious meal options in our schools, at no cost to the students.
  3. Ensuring Students have Access to Drinking Water: Hydration is crucial for cognitive function and overall health. We will work tirelessly to ensure all students have easy access to clean drinking water.

More than 55% of you have expressed a preference for email updates on these issues. We hear you and will ensure that our communication channels align with your preferences. Interestingly, over 50% of responses came from texting out the survey, showing the power of this communication method.

We are thrilled to learn that over half of you are actively volunteering with other organizations. Your dedication to making a difference in your community is truly inspiring.

In terms of media advocacy, many of you have shown interest in participating in Media Advocacy Training. We are excited to facilitate this in the future. We also look forward to seeing you share information about the issues on your social media platforms since this was a close second in survey responses.

When it comes to connecting with elected officials, the majority of respondents preferred a Zoom meeting, with phone calls to elected officials being a close second. We will work to accommodate these preferences in our future interactions with lawmakers.

Lastly, we are excited to announce that over 60% of respondents are interested in participating in Virtual Roundtables as a group activity. We believe these will provide a great platform for us to discuss and strategize on our focus areas.

We truly appreciate your participation and feedback. It reassures us that we are on the right track and encourages us to continue our work. Thank you for being a part of our journey.
