September is National Childhood Obesity Awareness Month, West Virginia

As our kids settle into the new school year, now is the perfect time to advocate for policies that will lead to healthier futures for our youth. Research shows that healthy children learn more effectively and achieve more academically. In addition, kids who get physical activity during the school day focus better in the classroom and have fewer discipline problems.

Here in West Virginia, we are working on key areas around improving the health of our youth. Please take the time to click on the links below and show your legislators that these issues are important to you. With your help during National Childhood Obesity Awareness Month we can help reverse the obesity trend among West Virginia’s youth.
