Let's Make a Difference Together in the Southeast

In today's world, we know there are many great causes that compete for your attention - and we are immensely happy you choose to invest your time with You're the Cure!

In our eagerness to engage with you, we have sent several invitations for different calls and events. To help simplify your inbox, we've compiled everything here!

First, we have a standing invitation for you to join Julie and me every month for our You're the Cure Southeast chat, where we share the latest advocacy news, how to get involved, and the best ways to make a difference in your community. Our next call is on Monday, April 27th at 11:30 am ET / 10:30 am CT. Register today! 

Second, in Georgia, Tennessee, and the Carolinas, we are excited to invite you to join me for the family-friendly educational miniseries We the People! These calls occur every other Monday at 10 am ET/9 am CT. Youth-aged middle school and beyond will enjoy the material, as we explore Civics, the organization of states and the federal government, and how to understand a little more about terms and titles we are all hearing on the news. Our next call will take place on May 4th. RSVP for our next call and catch up on past episodes!

At the state level, we have two upcoming events and a couple of calls-to action: 

• Alabama advocates, you can take part in Cover Alabama's week of advocacy (April 20 - 24) and urge Governor Ivey and legislative leadership to swiftly expand Medicaid. Tweet key lawmakers today!
• Louisiana advocates, join Ashley Hebert and Julie Howell on Tuesday, April 28th at 1PM for a webinar about COVID-19 and health disparities in Louisiana. We have several fantastic speakers lined up! Learn more and register at act.yourethecure.org/LADisparities.
• North Carolina advocates, our upcoming virtual State Lobby Day is scheduled for June 3rd. Save your spot.
• Tennessee advocates, we expect to need your help soon with our water access campaign aimed to have water bottle filling stations in new, or majorly renovated, schools. Sign our water access petition to stay updated!
