That's a Wrap, Southeast!

For the past eight weeks, Kim VanVeen and I have thoroughly enjoyed hosting a fall training series to help You're the Cure advocates across the southeast to become stronger digital advocates for the AHA's top public policy efforts in their communities. We're a bit in denial that we wrapped up our final training today, October 28th.

Thank you to everyone who joined us live! If you missed a training, or want to watch again, we have uploaded everything to yourethecure.org/se_fall_trainings. Topics include:

  • How to contact your lawmaker - This includes how to build a relationship with your lawmaker, which is very crucial after an election season, as well as how to share your story with your lawmaker.
  • How to meet with a lawmaker virtually - Thanks to 2020 for escalating that skill set! 😉
  • How to advocate online - beyond Facebook!
  • Key policy issues in the southeast: Expanding Access to Care, Water Access in Schools, Tobacco Control, Telecommunicator CPR, and Preemption
