SB 114 Attempts to Weaken Statewide Smoke Free Law

SB 114 was originally drafted to help clarify our state’s smoke-free law by defining smoking.  But the amendment added to the bill in the House Local Government Committee weakens our smoke-free law.

By allowing smoking of "premium tobacco products" in certain South Dakota bars, the bill now creates a huge loophole in the smoke-free law. This amendment not only threatens the health of South Dakotans -- it directly challenges the will of South Dakota voters.

Visit the ACTION CENTER now and take action on this alert!  Let your representatives know that this bill as amended would weaken our smoke free law.
