As the 2018 Rhode Island Legislative Session gets underway, we want to take a minute to introduce a very important group of passionate and dedicated advocates - your Rhode Island Advocacy Committee. The members of the Advocacy Committee work closely with the government relations team to draft our policy agenda, determine best strategies & tactics for our campaigns, help mobilize volunteers and recruit new advocates. They spend countless hours at the State House testifying before key committees, attending advocacy events/Lobby Days and talking with legislators. They are united in our mission - and their commitment is unparalleled. In the coming months we will profile each committee member individually and ask them to share why they advocate on behalf of the American Heart Association. In meantime, if you recognize a name below, please thank them for their leadership and all they do to advance our lifesaving work!
