This August, the You're the Cure Grassroots Team is hosting the “Relentless Together” advocate training series. As you may know, this year marks the 40th anniversary of the American Heart Associations’ entry into the federal advocacy world and we want to celebrate all that we’ve accomplished. As part of that celebration, we’re offering trainings to our advocates to empower them to continue to be a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives for another 40 years to come!

So far, we’ve held 3 great discussions with special guests and experts on the following topics.
Federal Civics Overview
Key terms and acronyms to help you understand what’s happening in DC, how a bill becomes a law and a discussion on how YTC advocates can impact the lawmaking process.
Improving Americans’ Eating Habits: AHA and Nutrition Policy
Learn why YTC engages on nutrition policy and there's a Capitol Hill update from a DC insider on where our nutrition priorities stand.
Achieving the Tobacco Endgame
Learn about why YTC engages, some recent policy wins and get an update from 2 special guests including an update from Capitol Hill and a discussion about our Tobacco Endgame efforts.
While we’ve already completed 3 of these trainings/discussions there is still time to join in on the fun. Our last “Relentless Together” discussion will take place next week and will be a roundtable discussion with some of our most dedicated and impactful youth advocates. This discussion will be moderated by the Field Grassroots Director, Betsy Vetter and is one you won’t want to miss out on. These youth truly are a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives and are an incredibly important part of the YTC grassroots family.
