Raise Stroke Awareness

The American Stroke Association needs you to help us share important stroke messaging tomorrow Wednesday, January 23rd. We’ll hold a Social Media Day of Action to engage as many Americans as possible in our new “F.A.S.T.” stroke awareness advertising campaign, which we created in partnership with the Ad Council.

F.A.S.T. refers to three key symptoms of stroke (Face drooping, Arm weakness, Speech difficulty), plus the importance of getting help immediately if symptoms appear (Time to call 9-1-1). We’ve prepared messaging for Twitter and Facebook and we’re asking you to post these messages at designated times during the day.

Twitter: Post the following Tweets at the times noted below on January 23rd:
- Before 12 noon EST: Today at noon EST we release a new infographic & PSAs showing you how to spot the signs of stroke. Stay tuned! #ASA #FASTPSA
- At 12 noon EST: Stroke is No.1 preventable cause of disability! Quick action can mean better outcomes #ASA #FASTPSA

Facebook: Share the following Facebook posts at the times noted below on January 23rd:
- At 12 noon EST: Raise awareness & fight strokes by making sure all your friends and family know to how to spot and respond to signs of a stroke F.A.S.T. Spread the word!
