Americans are eating out now more than ever. When out at restaurants or grabbing food on the go, it can be hard to find healthy options - especially for our kids. Kids' meals are often high in calories, saturated fat, sodium and are automatically paired with a sugary drink. When children consume diets high in added sugar, they can develop a preference for sweet tasting beverages and foods. With 97% of kids’ meal options not providing proper nutrition, restaurants are failing to serve our kids.

Wouldn’t it be great to know your child had healthy options to choose from on the kids’ menu? We need to create an environment that encourages healthy food and beverage choices for children. Supporting healthy options on kids’ menus will help children grow up at a healthy weight and decrease their risk of heart disease and diabetes. Parents deserve the ability to provide healthy and nutritious options to their children even on the go.
