Oregon Midsession Update

The 2021 legislative session is about half over, and we wanted to give you an update on our two key issues.

As a reminder, our top priorities this year are:

1) securing additional funding for the states Double Up Food Bucks program and

2) passing legislation to establish a statewide tobacco retail licensing program

We are happy to share that after numerous hearings and deadlines both these bills are moving forward, and we are feeling cautiously optimistic! They are both sitting in the Ways and Means committee waiting for the states next revenue forecast report, which is scheduled for May 19.

After the May report we expect the state to move forward with the budgets and these bills will begin moving as well. Stay tuned to your email. When we get closer, we will be in touch with ways you can help.

If you have any questions about either bill, please reach out. We will be in touch when we have more information to share.
