In 2020, 5.2 million seniors aged 60 and older were food insecure in the United States, with Indiana ranking 31st in the nation. Senate Bill 334 can make a difference.

Studies show higher rates of food insecurity among households with at least one person with a disability than for households without, with each additional disability producing significantly higher odds of food insecurity.

SB 334 enables seniors (60+) and those with disabilities to keep their SNAP benefits for 36 months (instead of 24) before recertifying. It also simplifies the application itself and enables data matching for verification to reduce the paperwork needed to apply.

Our Indiana neighbors need your voice today. Please take 30 seconds now to send a message urging your representative to also vote YES on Senate Bill 334!

Thank you for being a voice for a healthier Hoosier State!

With Heart,

Danielle Patterson and Melissa Brown
