The event was held inside The Children’s Hospital Atrium on the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center campus in Oklahoma City. The event offered the community, OU Medicine employees, and their families information, encouragement and opportunities to incorporate healthy options into their everyday lives. OU Medicine also offered free health screenings and information at the expo. Kids, meanwhile, had plenty of opportunities for fun with a variety of games and other activities from multiple health vendors.

The American Heart Association was proud to be a part of the event and shared information about staying heart-healthy. The AHA also invited attendees to join the You're The Cure network so that they could stay informed on heart-healthy and stroke-smart legislative efforts at the Oklahoma State Capitol.

“We face many health challenges in Oklahoma, and it is critical to give parents and their children the information they need to live longer, healthier lives,” said Brian Maddy, CEO of OU Physicians. “We expect everyone to have a good time at the expo, but we also want them to walk away with a better understanding of their health and wellness.”
