Month packed with activities in OK

This month was stuffed with activity for our team. The Oklahoma City Go Red for Women Luncheon and Cycle Nation were huge successes, and the OKC team did a fabulous job raising awareness for the work we do in our community and state.

Our advocacy team has also been hard at work preparing for the upcoming legislative session. Two interim studies were held at the Capitol to discuss Healthy School Meals in Oklahoma. This is one of many priorities for the upcoming legislative session, and we hope to see some positive changes for Oklahomans through several legislative priorities this year.

Also, Grassroots Manager Chris Turner hosted two advocacy events for advocates: Coffee With Chris and a Taste of Advocacy. This presented an opportunity for advocates in Oklahoma to meet with advocacy staff and learn what’s happening in the state. There will be more chances to do this in the future. Thanks to everyone who was able to participate in the events.

Stay tuned to hear more information about ways you can help us make a difference for our state. Trust us when we say you’re going to want to be at the 2024 Lobby Day.
