NYC Healthy Kids' Meals -- We did it!

On Thursday, March 28th, the NYC Council passed the Healthy Kids' Meal bill which requires all NYC restaurants that offer a children’s menu to make a healthy beverage option – like water, seltzer, or low-fat milk – the default option that comes with the meal.

Making the healthy option the norm helps reduce sugar consumption by children and installs healthier habits at a younger age, and we couldn't have done it without you. Thank you!

UPDATE: The NYC Healthy Kids' Meal bill was enacted into law on April 28, 2019. New York City restaurants will have a year to comply with the new regulation. Millions of children both living in and visiting New York City will now see non-sugary beverages as the norm when they look at a menu in a restaurant.
