Now is Not the Time to Cut Funding for Healthcare Coverage

With the start of the 2021 legislative session just a month away we have been doing our best to prepare for a session unlike any other. The challenges the pandemic has brought to our communities is unprecedented. Despite these challenges the state budget outlook is good, in fact it is projected there may be a record surplus of more than $600 million, which is why we are concerned there is talk of cutting the budget for the Medicaid program.

During this time when thousands are unemployed through no fault of their own, it would be devastating for the state to consider cutting the budget and consequently the number of people who have access to healthcare. Please send your message to state lawmakers TODAY asking them to not cut funding for this vital program.

Idahoans voted by a large margin to expand Medicaid to ensure our friends and neighbors have access to vital healthcare services, and we hope that with your help legislators will maintain full funding for this important program during these difficult times.
