NJ Advocates Raise Awareness of CPR Issues at State House

On June 6, 2013, the American Heart Association hosted a Lobby Day/Legislative Reception at the New Jersey State House to bring attention to CPR and AED issues during CPR and AED Awareness Week.  Advocates who attended spoke to a number of legislators about Hands Only CPR and the American Heart Association's efforts to require CPR training for high school students that includes an opportunity for each student to practice compressions.

Many of the legislators that advocates spoke to were very supportive of our efforts and want to be involved in the movement to train New Jersey's high school students in CPR.  The American Heart Association is looking forward to continue to working with these elected officials on this issue!

It's not to late for you to get involved! Check out he Action Center and take action today!
