The coalition spoke to legislators about a range of issues, including raising the cigarette tax to help prevent youth initiation to smoking and to help current users quit and closing a loophole in the New Mexico Clean Indoor Air Act that allows five state-run racinos (casino facilities with live racing) to allow indoors smoking.

Aside from the tobacco-related issues, we are also supporting healthy school meals for all New Mexico students and paid family leave. Passing both issues would help create a healthier state for all.

You can let your legislator know you support healthy school meals for all students by clicking here.

You can show your support for the Paid Family & Medical Leave Act here.
