New Haven Heart Walk Leaders Support CPR in Schools

Advocacy recently participated in the New Haven Heart Walk Leadership Breakfast where attendees were briefed on the importance of getting CPR training in all of Connecticut’s high schools. There was a demonstration by American Heart Association’s Emergency Cardiovascular Care department, followed by attendees working with the Family & Friends CPR Anytime manikins. Advocacy collected over 75 signed You’re the Cure CPR in Schools petition cards. These cards are critical in the effort to educated state legislators that voters in their legislative districts support training students in the lifesaving skill of Hands Only CPR.
