Move More Month is part of the American Heart Association’s Healthy For Good™ movement, which inspires people everywhere to make lasting changes in their health and their lives, one small step at a time. The volunteers, Julie Hill and Jeri Barajas, helped spread this message by passing out water bottles with notes reminding lawmakers that:
“The American Heart Association recommends adults get at least 150 minutes of moderate aerobic activity each week. That’s only 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week.”
We hope that this message sticks and thank you to our volunteers and everyone who made an effort to get the community more active.
