Miss Minnesota meets with Governor!

Miss Minnesota and American Heart Association volunteer, Siri Freeh, met with Governor Mark Dayton on March 14th to discuss preventing heart disease and stroke. Siri shared photos of her visits to schools around the state where she delivered a message to students about staying heart healthy. Siri also thanked the governor for his support of the Statewide Health Improvement Program (SHIP). SHIP has been a key catalyst in helping local communities tackle obesity prevention and reduce tobacco use. Governor Dayton included $20 million each year in his state budget proposal.

Thank you, Siri Freeh, for being a great volunteer and carrying a message of prevention throughout the state during your term as Miss Minnesota!
