Dr. Ed Goldenberg was recognized with the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association's Great Rivers Affiliate Distinguished Achievement Award on October 3rd, 2013. Dr. Goldenberg, a great cardiologist, fundraiser, community leader and advocate for the health of Delawareans is eminently deserving of recognition for countless reasons.
Dr. Goldenberg served as the chair of the 2012 Wilmington Heart Walk and he also led a top Heart Walk team. He also worked to establish the Delaware Million Hearts Coalition which now is leading efforts in Delaware to align partners, public and private, to the goals of the national Million Hearts initiative. In addition, he regularly speaks to groups and businesses across Delaware about healthy living and prevention, and his writings on health are regularly published in the News Journal.
Dr. Edward Goldenberg has been a highly respected volunteer leader for the American Heart Association for many, many years. His commitment to the mission of the American Heart Association is very personal, and that shines through in all of his work, as a volunteer - as a leader, and as a physician.
