While Amanda is new to ND, she isn’t new to advocacy or the AHA but has served as Government Relations Director in Montana for nearly 7 years.  Her role has recently expanded to serve North Dakota in addition to Montana.

Amanda is a graduate of the University of Montana and California State University. She has both her bachelors and master’s degrees in social work and believes that advocacy work is one of the most important roles of a social worker.  When she’s not working on policy, Amanda can be found wrangling her two kids, Bridger- age 5 and Anamarie – age 2.  She loves reading, hiking, and spending time at the lake.

“Health and social justice have always been near and dear to me so I am thrilled to be working on issues to help North Dakotans live longer, healthier lives.”

The legislative session is right around the corner and Amanda has hit the ground running, but she cannot do it without you! Be on the lookout for more information about our tobacco control, healthy lifestyle, and access to care initiatives, we will be working on this year!
