What brought you to be an advocate for the American Heart Association?

I'm a stroke survivor due to a congenital heart defect (ASD) at age 23.  I decided to give my time back since; I'm so grateful to be here today because; of American Heart Association and their advancements.

What issues or policies are you most passionate about and why?

Advocating for survivors and families as well as caregivers; whom used some sort of CPR or benefits from the AHA.  This is most important to lobby and fund raise in or state passing laws is rewarding and exciting.

What is your favorite advocacy memory or experience so far and what made it great?

Over the past few years I have gotten to experience the Pulse Ox and CPR policies pass these were great experiences.

What is your favorite way to be active?

I like to play softball and walk my dogs

What is your favorite fruit or vegetable?

Raspberries, cantaloupe, Bananas, grapes and corn
