What brought you to be an advocate for the American Heart Association?

I became an advocate for the American Heart Association not only because of my personal connection to the mission but also because I need more of a why to my every day. This is my why to get up and use my time here to support and aid others.

What issues or policies are you most passionate about and why?

I am very passionate about adding color a healthy for good mission we have here at the AHA. This is a simple step that everyone can take part in. It is a simplified way of eating better and improving your health without taking on too much.

What is your favorite advocacy memory or experience so far and what made it great?

My favorite experience is going to always be hearing survivor stories. Hearing the passion behind their voices and knowing the mission is increasing their hope in a better tomorrow is priceless.

What is your favorite way to be active?

My favorite way to be active I would like to think is unique. I truly enjoy cleaning and it accomplishes two things at once. I have a clean home and I get my steps in!

What is your favorite fruit or vegetable?

My favorite fruit is pomegranate purely because you have to work hard for a bit of flavor so it’s an interesting fruit to eat with a great taste!
