Monte regularly takes time out of his busy schedule, often on short notice during Indiana's busy legislative session, to call his lawmakers, submit letters-to-the-editor, serve as a spokesperson on key issues, and even join us at the capitol to meet with lawmakers in support of healthier communities. A true volunteer-leader, Monte was instrumental in leading a meeting with Senator Braun urging support for the Child Hunger Prevention Act.

Over his many years of dedication to the lifesaving work of the American Heart Association, Monte has filled many roles. In addition to his advocacy efforts, he has served as the Indianapolis AHA Board Chair, Corporate Engagement Chair, Heart Walk Chair, member of the Heart Walk Executive Leadership Team and Indiana Advocacy Committee Chair. As a champion for our mission, he has engaged his own company in support of our critical work around controlling blood pressure, and rallied employees around Heart Walk, Heart Ball, Go Red for Women, and STEM.

Monte, we can't thank you enough for your leadership and dedication to improving health in the Hoosier State!
